About Krunchez

Krunchez was first opened on December 2, 2001. I remember having a Petz notebook where I drew ideas for different breeding goals I had. When I decided to start a website, I tried to brainstorm Petzy-sounding names that were kind of just fun nonsense words. And thus we have Krunchez!

Krunchez was most recently opened as a minimal, one-page site during the big Petz revival of 2017. Luli generously hosted me at rainbow-muffin.org. I didn't keep on top of it for very long, but it was a fun little interim version of the site.

I'm pretty sure I first built Krunchez on Homestead, using their WYSIWYG editor. Soon after I moved to Geocities, and with the help of Lissa Explains It All I learned HTML enough to cobble a site together. I wish I had screenshots of my old layouts! Here's a graphic I salvaged from the Wayback Machine, a welcome banner from 2002. I remember the navigation frame had that cow photo, haha.

In 2007 I was hosted at the-common-room.org - I can't recall who owned that domain. I found this silly graphic archived from when my site moved, haha.
